Dear IFAGG members,
Happy New Year 2024! We hope you enjoyed the holidays and are now ready for this this year.
This year will bring some updates in our competition system and rules. From this year on, the short program rules are only for all female teams including all age categories (children, junior and women). All the mixed teams including all the age categories (children, junior and senior) are competing only with the long program rules. The new rules for the mixed teams are now in process and will be published as soon as they are completed. Meanwhile the mixed teams are competing with the current long program rules. The online webinar about the new mixed team rules will be organized in February, an educational event in April together the WC and CC II event in Kairo and the test event for the new mixed team rules will in September in Malaysia.
IFAGG Judges regulations have also been updated. Starting from the year 2025, the head judges in the World Championships and also international and national judge course instructors must be level 1 IFAGG judges and head judges for the World Championships must take a new head judge course and exam. This course needs be taken every 2 years if level 1 judge wishes to be a head judge in the World Championships. The first head judge courses are already this year (January and September) and next ones will be 2025. This course is meant only for level 1 IFAGG judges. Only level 1 judges can be head judges in the World Championships and act as judge course instructors. Acting as a head judge in the World Championships 2024 does not require the new head judge course.
Hope to see you all soon in our IFAGG events!
