IFAGG Council statement regarding the participation of RUS and BLR athletes

After following the current situation in the world and recent developments in international sports, the IFAGG Council held an online meeting on 28 May 2026 to discuss the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in IFAGG events.

The International Federation of Aesthetic Group Gymnastics (IFAGG) has decided to remove the restrictions applicable to the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in IFAGG events.

This decision comes into force immediately.

IFAGG has decided to extend the number of finalist teams in World Cup and Challenge Cup competitions. Based on ranking after preliminaries, 12 best teams will qualify for finals, but maximum two (2) teams from the same country.
International Federation of Aesthetic Group Gymnastics, IFAGG, was established on 12 October 2003 and is the recognized world governing body of aesthetic group gymnastics (AGG).
